1963 Harmony H-22 Bass Guitar.
It’s been a while since there’s been any low-end action on GP so this 60’s Harmony Bass should redress the balance slightly. It has been modified with Rickenbacker knobs instead of the original Harmony ones, but its still a 4-stringed piece of awesome.

Beautiful custom !

this is tripping me out

If I am not mistaken, this archtop Tele was built by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Paul Waller.  I had the pleasure of meeting Paul in Toronto in 2010 when he was on tour with the Fender Custom Shop Road Show that year.  Nice guy.  And fascinating to hear him talk about building guitars.  Definitely a dream job!

An oak Les Paul???
From Gibson Custom’s department of “It’s Already the Heaviest Guitar Ever Built So Let’s Use Even HEAVIER Wood On It!” comes this offering, a Gibson Custom Les Paul with oak top!
And before any of you Les Paul fans out there start screaming at me (and reblogging me, adding all sorts of crazy clarifying comments like “Mississauga is NOT near Toronto”!), I LOVE Les Pauls.  Really I do.  My most favorite guitar at the moment is my black double-cut Les Paul Special.  How can an enthusiast of guitar collecting and guitar history NOT like the Les Paul?  It’s not possible.  They play (no pun intened) too important a role in…well…every aspect of popular music from the beginning of time.
I just don’t like it when a guitar is over 8lbs.  And Les Pauls generally START at 8lbs and go up from there!
Now that my rant about heavy guitars is over I will say that this one looks great with its “natural” finish.  Oak has such a nice grain.  I am more used to seeing that grain on my coffee table, bookshelves, or floor…but I guess it looks good on a guitar too!  :D
